1. Who We Are
CityPros App is operated by CityPros App, registered in Oregon, USA. We provide a professional networking platform that helps people connect with others in their local community.

Information You Provide:
- Account Information: Name, email address, password
- Profile Information: Bio, origin, time in city, role, career stage, company name, job title, industries, tags, interests
- Optional Information: Profile photo, LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp number, website
- Connection Data: Connection requests sent/received, accepted connections
- Groups: Community groups you join
- User Reports: If you report inappropriate behavior
Information We Collect Automatically:
- Usage Data: App interactions, features used, matches viewed
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, time zone
- Push Notification Tokens: If you enable notifications
- Activity Data: Last active time, login times
What We DON'T Collect:
- Continuous location tracking
- Contact list access (without permission)
- Messages on other platforms
- Sensitive personal data (health, religion, political views)
3. How We Use Your Information
To Provide Our Services:
- Create and manage your account
- Display your profile to potential matches
- Generate matches based on your profile and interests
- Facilitate connections between professionals
- Send push notifications (if enabled)
To Improve CityPros:
- Analyze app usage and engagement
- Improve matching algorithms
- Fix bugs and technical issues
- Develop new features
For Safety & Security:
- Prevent fraud, spam, and abuse
- Investigate reported users
- Enforce Terms of Use
- Protect users from harmful behavior
4. How We Share Your Information
With Other Users:
Your profile information (name, bio, photo, industries, groups, role, stage, origin, time in city, and optional social links) is visible to other CityPros users. This is necessary for the app to work.
With Service Providers:
- Supabase: Database and authentication (hosted in Germany for EU users)
- Expo: Push notifications and app infrastructure
These partners are contractually obligated to protect your data.
Aggregate Data: We may share anonymized, aggregate data that cannot identify you personally (e.g., "60% of members work in tech"). This may be shared with partners for optimization or sold for business intelligence. Your email, name, and personally identifiable information will NEVER be sold.
Legal Requirements:
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Active Accounts:
We keep your data as long as your account is active.
Deleted Accounts:
When you delete your account:
- Your profile and personal data are deleted immediately
- Your name/photo removed from others' connection lists
- Some anonymized data retained for analytics
- Legal/safety records may be kept if necessary
Automatic Cleanup:
- Notification logs deleted after 90 days
- Declined connections deleted after 30 days
- Rate limiting logs deleted after 30 days

All Users:

Important: No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security against unauthorized access or data breaches.
8. International Data Transfers
CityPros operates globally. Your data may be transferred to:
- United States: Where CityPros is based
- Germany: Where our EU database is hosted (via Supabase)
- Other countries: Where service providers operate
We ensure adequate protection through standard contractual clauses and GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.
9. Children's Privacy
Age Restriction: CityPros is NOT intended for users under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from minors.

10. Cookies & Tracking
- Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and app functionality
- Analytics: Built-in app analytics to understand usage
We DON'T Use: Advertising cookies, third-party tracking for marketing, or cross-site tracking.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes:
- We'll notify you 15 days in advance via email or in-app notification
- The "Last Updated" date will be updated
Continuing to use CityPros after changes means you accept the updated policy.
